Jerome Osentowski is the director of the Central Rocky Mountain Permaculture Institute in Colorado. We visited him back in 2008 while in Colorado because we were intrigued by rumours that he was growing bananas and figs in the Rockies. He has over twenty years experience designing and maintaining passive and active heated solar greenhouses suited to cold-temperate climates and has experimented with year-round indoor production and the cultivation of greenhouse forest gardens: mediterranean, sub-tropical and tropical systems, all in the snowy Rocky Mountains!
